The world’s first and only nationally syndicated radio show devoted to diving! Suckin’ on-air since 1997! ScubaRadio is likely the most downloaded scuba themed podcast in the world as well! It airs every Saturday from 3-5pm EST on radio stations throughout the US and worldwide both live and through archived podcasts. Each week Greg The Divemaster and friends guide you through the latest dive related news and information often combined with an irreverent twist. Imagine hanging out at a Tiki bar after a day of diving and sharing fish tales with friends. Join the conversation live at 1-888-88-SCUBA, through email, or by clicking on the “Get on the air” tab 24/7 right here at ScubaRadio.com.
Joining us for this special adventure will be Cathryn Castle, the Executive Editor of Dive Training magazine. Cathryn is a member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, holds instructor ratings from NAUI, PADI, SDI/TDI and DAN. She has a United States Coast Guard 100-ton master captain's license and is medically qualified as an EMT and hyperbaric chamber tender. Cathryn has spent her entire career in the diving industry. Prior to joining Dive Training in 1997, her occupations have included co-owning a dive center in the Caribbean, scuba instructor, boat captain, yacht crew member, EMT, photojournalist, sales associate for Uwatec USA and underwater model. A natural storyteller at heart, having Cathryn onboard will be a real treat for all!
If you've ever wanted to dive it before you buy it, this is a trip for you! Once again, ScubaPro will be sending a rep loaded up with ScubaPro dive gear for you to try out during the week. They have been very generous with freebies for our ScubaRadio ScubaCruisers in the past….so we'll just leave it at that. 😉
The addition of the ScubaRadio mermaids, music with the Scuba Cowboy, and a ScubaRadio broadcast from the deck of the boat to capture all the fun will make this another unforgettable week! Still not sold? Check out the broadcast from our last visit on this itinerary by listening to the 10-13-12 edition of ScubaRadio (HOUR1HOUR2)!
Call Explorer Ventures (the official liveaboard company of ScubaRadio) at 1-800-322-3577! As much fun as these adventures sound on ScubaRadio, it's much more fun to be there….so book your spot today! Dive clubs, shops, and groups welcome as long as spots are available!
Just click on the “Send Voicemail” tab on the right side of the page and follow the prompts. You have 90 seconds to share your comments and questions. We might even put your recording on the air! (remember, a little brown-nosing never hurts) If you're a bit radio shy, feel free to email us as well.
Inspired by our ScubaRadio exploits in FIJI, this tale comes from the twisted mind of Captain Patrick Prainito from our World of Boating radio show. While this is a work of fiction, we have no doubt Patrick used this creative outlet as therapy for dealing with Greg The Divemaster, Bill The Producer and the entire ScubaRadio cast of characters. We have hired extra security and encourage you to add Kava Screw to your reading list. 😉
If you missed the live broadcast on 12-21-13, you might want to kick back, grab a spiked eggnog, and give this a listen. This is what happens when the ScubaRadio crew stay home for the holidays….and WAIA (We Apologize in Advance)
Christmas in the Keys was Friday and Saturday evening at the Dockside Tropical Cafe. The opening of this unique new dive bar has been the longtime dream of our good friend Eric Stone (of the ScubaDudes). We just came out to enjoy the live music from Eric and his band. Plus make a few holiday memories with our ScubaRadio family and friends. You might want to give it a go yourself sometime…The rates are great at the Sombrero Resort & Marina right next door…..within crawling distance. 😉
Check out the show we recorded on site and the pictures from our adventure!
(Read the following in your best Austin Power accent) The dive industry Came Together November 6-9 in Orlando for the DEMA (Diving Equipment & Marketing Association) trade show. To tie-dye into the Beatles themed awards party this year, a ScubaRadio Shagadelic Celebration opened the show each morning with Explorer Ventures liveaboard trip giveaways, live music with the Scuba Cowboy and a few other surprises one mind find in an Octopuses Garden! Yeah baby Yeah! Check all the pix thanks to our ScubaRadio photographer for the event, Richard Rossetto!
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of DEMA, we joined our friends in the the Bahamas isle for a ScubaRadio Junkanoo happy hour party! Here all the play by play on the 11-9-13 edition of ScubaRadio!
